Perth/Meynell Construction Update
Below is an update on the construction related to the new roundabout at Perth Street and Meynell Road. This information is being shared on behalf of Caivan.
Homeowner Notification
We appreciate your patience during the construction of the Perth Street Round-About which we know at times has been difficult. We are nearing completion of the project and would like to update you on the remaining activities and schedule.
Week of July 22nd – interior roundabout completion
Week of July 29th – completion of the concrete work from 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. each day with completion by end of week (weather dependent)
More frequent flagging of traffic will take place to reduce delays during concrete pouring
Week of August 5th - Travel lanes will be fully open with no obstructions
Week of August 12th – complete sidewalks, multi-use pathway
Week of August 12th through to September 2nd - complete landscaping
Construction schedules have been modified (such as nighttime paving) to reduce the daily impacts to homeowners, however, this has caused a delay in completion of the roundabout to the first week of September. The travels lanes will be open starting the week of August 5th with the remaining completion activities taking place outside the travel lanes.
Crews will return at the end September/early October to apply the final top lift of asphalt. This top lift of pavement will take place at night and will be completed that same evening. Caivan will send a notice to you advising when this work will take place.
