Notice of Partial Road Closures

Richmond Road Races (5 and 10 km) will be happening in Richmond on Jan. 29, 2023, between 9 and 11:30 a.m. The races will be restricted to partial traffic lanes, but may cause traffic disruptions. The planned routes are listed below, and full details can be found in this document.

The 5 km run shall be restricted to partial traffic lanes of the following City of Ottawa streets:

(1) South on McBean Street between South Carleton High School (3673 McBean Street) and Dobson Lane;

(2) East on Dobson Lane between McBean Street and 6024 Dobson Lane, and

(3) Participants will return to South Carleton High School using the same route in reverse.

The 10 km run shall be restricted to partial traffic lanes of the following City of Ottawa streets:

(1) North on McBean Street between South Carleton High School (3673 McBean Street) and Burke Street;

(2) East on Burke Street between McBean Street and Cockburn Street;

(3) South on Cockburn Street between Burke Street and Ottawa Street;

(4) West on Ottawa Street between Cockburn Street and McBean Street;

(5) South on McBean Street between Ottawa Street and Dobson Lane;

(6) East on Dobson Lane between McBean Street and McCordick Road;

(7) South on McCordick Road between Dobson Lane and Century Road West;

(8) West on Century Road West between McCordick Road and McBean Street, and

(9) North on McBean Street between Century Road West and South Carleton High School.

The road closures to facilitate the above route will be restricted to the following City of Ottawa streets:

(1) McBean Street between Burke Street and Ottawa Street;

(2) McBean Street (northbound lanes) between Century Road West and Ottawa Street;

(3) Dobson Lane between McBean Street and McCordick Road;

(4) McCordick Road (southbound lanes) between Brophy Drive and Century Road West, and

(5) Century Road West (westbound lanes) between McCordick Road and McBean Street.

(6) Ottawa Street (westbound lanes) between McBean Street and Cockburn Street (for a period of approximately 10 minutes)
