Ward Updates

Rural Firefighters will be Casual City Employees
City Council voted to classify rural volunteer firefighters as casual employees with the City of Ottawa. This is great news for the hundreds of hardworking firefighters who work out of 20 rural station houses and serve the majority of Ottawa’s landmass. They will now have access to certain benefits while remaining in a volunteer capacity. Are you interested in joining the ranks of rural volunteer firefighters?
