Budget Consultation – what we heard.

Budget consultations are ongoing! On Monday, our office hosted an in-person engagement session, which was attended by roughly 20 people who provided their views on the budget. Residents gave feedback and asked questions to City staff, and provided a range of suggestions, as well. Some of those suggestions included that the City should:

  • Allocate more revenue toward rural roads and road maintenance

  • Explore new options with winter road maintenance, including potential City partnerships with private laneway plows

  • Increase the length of the budget consultation process and allow for more feedback from residents

  • Provide residents with more easily accessible information on the budget

To provide your feedback on the budget, visit Engage Ottawa, or register here for a virtual session on February 22nd.
