Ward Updates
Richmond Village Roundabout Update
Caivan has provided an update on the construction of the roundabout at Perth and Meynell in Richmond. I wanted to share this information to address some frequently asked questions and to provide a status update on the project.
Please read more here.
Fall Season is Here
With the leaves changing colour and the cooler Fall days, I hope all those who celebrated this past long weekend had a happy Thanksgiving with family, friends, and neighbours! This is a special time of year to reflect and be grateful for all the positive aspects of our lives.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want to take the opportunity to highlight the work of our local community food programs. The Manotick Food Cupboard, North Gower and District Outreach Food Bank, and Richmond Food Bank all do incredible work serving residents in need. I would encourage everyone who can and has not already done so to please consider giving food or monetary donations or consider volunteering. Whatever you may give goes a long way in supporting the work they do at a time where demand is at a critical level.
As our communities grow and families continue to struggle, local foodbanks and food cupboards rely entirely on local donations to help our friends and neighbours.
You can find a listing with contact information for your local foodbank on my website here.
Discussions with David Recap
Thank you to all the residents who came to see me at the "Discussions with David" drop-in sessions held over the past two months.
I spent a very fulfilling 70 hours engaging with the community across seven different areas in the ward, listening to concerns and answering questions.
These sessions were well attended and I was encouraged by the positive feedback that we received. My team and I are looking forward to continuing this kind of direct community engagement in 2025.
