Thank you to the residents who provided feedback and participated in the Rural Summit 2025. My rural council colleagues and I were very pleased with the summit outcomes.

Winter Preparation
Between November 15 and April 1, when Environment Canada forecasts significant freezing rain or seven centimeters of snow or more, the Director, Roads and Parking Services may call a Winter Weather Parking Ban. Such a ban does not apply to residential parking permit holders. Vehicles without valid residential parking permits that remain parked on the road during a ban can be ticketed.
During a ban, vehicles can be parked at certain park and ride locations, recreation centres, libraries, and municipal parking garages. There are 20 parking lots available for use in the 2024/25 season.
On street parking is available on designated commercial main streets to support local businesses; regular parking restrictions apply. More information on where to park during a Winter Weather Parking Ban is available on the City's website.
MCPRA Seeking Board Members
The Manotick Culture, Parks, and Recreation Association is looking for new Board Members from the Manotick area to work with them in 2025 and beyond.
No experience is necessary, just an interest in supporting parks, pathways and recreation projects/services in the Manotick area. The Board meets monthly, with Board members taking on roles and responsibilities they are interested in.
For more information, or to have a discussion about whether joining the Board would be appropriate for you, please contact either Jon Mack (mcpra.treasurer@gmail.com / 613-862-8191) or current President Mike O'Neil (manotick.mike@gmail.com / 613-282-1895).
