Ward Updates

Pole Extension planned for Royal York St.
Starting the week of April 3, 2023, Hydro Ottawa will be extending a new pole line along Royal York Street. The City estimates that this project will be completed by May 31, 2023. Learn more

Grants available for clean water projects
The Ottawa Rural Clean Water Program provides funding for projects that protect surface water and groundwater quality. Landowners completing projects in 2023 may be eligible for grants of up to $15,000.  Learn more

Do more at your local library branch
The Ottawa Public Library offers a number of services and programs beyond the latest books on the shelf. Mobile printing, puzzle exchange, games nights and storytime are just some of the programs available. Learn more


Upcoming Events

Richmond Market: Check out the indoor Richmond Market on April 1, at St. John the Baptist church hall, at 67 Fowler Street, in Richmond. Enjoy food concessions and local vendors. Learn more

Fling into Spring: April 1 will be a night of square dancing, line dancing, music and fun at the North Gower Community Centre! Don’t know how? All dances will be taught! Tickets are $10. Learn More

Munster Community Association Easter Egg Hunt: Bring your basket and enjoy the annual Easter Egg Hunt with the kids on April 1. Each age group has an assigned time to hunt! Learn more

Supporting Women in their Leadership Journey: On April 4, join ZONTA for an announcement event regarding the launch of the Kanata chapter. Guest speaker Jenna Sudds, MP for Kanata-Carleton, will speak to building a better world for women and girls. Learn more


City Updates

Hazardous Waste Drop-off
Every year, the City of Ottawa hosts drop-off events to ensure that resident’s hazardous waste is safely collected, transported, and appropriately recycled or disposed. Learn more

Summer camps, swimming lessons and activities
Registration for summer camps and activities open on April 3 (swimming) and April 4 (summer camps). Discounts and payment plans are available. Learn more
