Ward Updates

Treatment to Prevent West Nile Virus
Do you have a catch basin on your property? If so, it can be treated for mosquitos that may carry West Nile virus.

West Nile virus (WNV) is an infection spread by mosquitoes. Mosquitoes need water to breed. Help eliminate mosquitoes around your property by reducing or eliminating areas or objects that can accumulate or retain water.

Visit OttawaPublicHealth.ca/WestNileVirus/ for more details.

Ditch and Culvert Maintenance
Ditch maintenance is a shared responsibility between property owners and the City. Depending on the location of the ditch, these responsibilities vary.

Click here for more information about how to maintain ditches and culverts.
