Improving the Process for Winter Pathway Maintenance
Many residents have reached out to share concerns about how pathways and sidewalks are maintained in communities throughout our ward, most especially in new neighbourhoods in Richmond and Manotick. Earlier this week, I submitted an inquiry to City staff which asks whether, moving forward, the City can consider pathway and sidewalk maintenance before developments are approved rather than after they are already built. I am optimistic that staff will respond to this inquiry with an approach that will make sure that, as our communities grow, so too will our network of year-round accessible paths and sidewalks.

I will keep residents informed about my progress on this important file. Learn more about how the City clears paths and sidewalks in the winter.
