Jack Briglio and Mark Shainblum are award-winning writers of comic books and graphic novels who live right here in Ottawa South!

Jack is the writer and creator of multiple series, including Dominion Jack, Growing Up Enchanted, and Flip! He’s also written Legion of Super Heroes for DC Comics, and Archie’s Friend Scarlet for Archie Comics. His kid’s graphic novel ThunderBoom! was nominated for a Doug Wright Award.

Mark is a Library Technician at the Manotick Branch of the OPL, but also lives a double-life as the writer of the Canadian comics series Northguard and Angloman, among others. In 2016 Mark was inducted into the Canadian Comic Book Creator Hall of Fame.
