The Goulbourn Township Historical Society presents Researching your Genealogy
Marilyn Cottrell will enlighten guests on researching their genealogy, with a focus on sources for Goulbourn genealogy. As all researchers know, finding reliable sources—and the information they contain—can be challenging, often leading to frustrating "brick walls." However, new ideas for uncovering missing information sometimes come from unexpected places. For this reason, this event will be of interest to anyone researching their family history. Audience participation and input are welcome!
Marilyn Cottrell is a descendant of one of Goulbourn’s original settlers, William Lackey, as well as many other early Goulbourn settlers. She is a dedicated researcher and a long-time member of the Goulbourn Township Historical Society.
