Homeless Veterans
One reason that we love working with these programs is because it shows one portion of Canada's history that we would never see. As we work on banners, stories of certain Veterans are shared with us by Programs either directly or through social media posts about their banners.
Unfortunately, there are a number of faceless Veterans that we don't know about but might see and are ignored. Those are our Homeless Veterans.
A portion of our sales goes to support Homeless Veteran programs. Currently we give back to the Legion's program but are also reviewing other programs to support. Even with the impact of COVID during 2020, we were still able to give back$5 000.Whatever we can do we will for as long as this program continues.
Unveiling
Banners will be unveiled and enjoyed by all during the last week of September. The BIA will provide the installation and removal of the banners. Although banners are owned by the customer, the Legion will keep the banners in storage to ensure proper storage and that all banners are present at time of installation.
THE HONOUR OUR VETERANS BANNER PROGRAM
Throughout North America cities, towns, and villages have chosen various banner titles and names represent many of their local heroes. The Banner Program will be an ongoing Remembrance, Culture and legacy project that honours Military Veterans who have served or continue to serve in the Canadian and Commonwealth Forces.
In the spirit of the meaning of "LEST WE FORGET"
"IT SHOULD NOT BE FORGOTTEN
The South Carleton Royal Canadian Legion Branch 314 Manotick is proud to honour and show respect to our Veterans who have departed too soon but will never be forgotten. We would like to honour them as it is important for the next generation to know that these brave people sacrificed everything for all the liberties and freedoms we enjoy today, with the hope that the generations to follow may never repeat our past mistakes. These banners will be proudly displayed in Manotick for a four to six week period.

A few facts about the Company Producing the Banners
They are a Canadian company based in Hanover, Ontario and they have been printing banners for Veterans' programs across Canada for almost a decade. With programs across Canada, their banners have been exposed to pretty much every weather condition that this Great Nation could throw at them.
This program is managed by a Canadian Veteran who served many years with the Canadian Army and works directly with every project coordinator to make sure your program is as successful as possible.
Our entire team stands behind these programs and are proud to be involved with them and the impact they have on communities across Canada.
The Manotick Legion would like to give a big THANK YOU!
To the Manotick BIA and the Manotick MYCA for collaborating with us on this greatly deserved recognition for
