77th Overseas Battalion Club Sunday afternoon History Event

Norm Christie and the 77th Overseas Battalion Club Sunday afternoon History Event.  -  1200 - 1600 hrs Sunday 22 September.  The theme will be REMEMBER AUGUST; The Battles of HILL 70; AMIENS, ARRAS; & NORMANDY.   Topics will be include the Lost Treasures of the Great War (where all attendees will be invited to bring an interesting item or two and explain how these artifacts tell the story of the Great War or Normandy campaign). Norm will bring in half a dozen items, Terry Hunter will bring in weapons and artifacts used during the Great War and  Michel Gravel will tell the story of George McKean, VC, MC, MM, and his actions on September 2nd, 1918 when he single-handedly broke through the Drocourt-Quéant Line. Should this have been a Bar to his Victoria Cross?  Books, DVDs and military artifacts will be for sale beginning at 1200 hrs.  Admission is free.
