Water Rate Structure Review
I do not support the direction the City is taking in their review of the water rate structure. Increasing taxes does not always mean there will be an enhancement to service.

Ward Updates

Nominations Open for VOscars Volunteer Awards
Is there an individual or organization in your community who deserves a big pat on the back for making Ottawa a happier, healthier, more caring city? Recognize their volunteer contributions by nominating them for one of Volunteer Ottawa’s seven VOscars Volunteer Awards.

Online submission forms are now available on the Volunteer Ottawa website and will be open until June 14.

Housing Project Selected for Funding
Pre-development funding has been designated for the expansion of senior-oriented housing units at Hyfield Place in Manotick. The new proposed project will see a new two-storey, low-rise apartment building with 38 affordable units on the existing site. This great news means there will be more geared-to-income and market-rent apartments available in Ward 21.

Previous updates

I was pleased to host a community meeting for the Carleton Golf and Yacht Club Homeowners' Association to discuss issues with ditches in the community and how the community could go about advancing a Local Improvement to fix the drainage network.
